The inside work on the house is completed — unless they decide to do something else. Now it is my turn! Clean, polish, replace. I am trying very hard not to put things back into these rooms that do not need to be there! BUT… there is a lot of stuff in the bedrooms (where I put them while the work was being done) that has to go somewhere… I am just about ready to like my brother-in-law and bring the wheel barrow in and carry everything out to be dumped!! Ah, of course, he can’t find his socks, his comfy pants, or his work clothes. ha ha. I don’t think I can bring myself to go that far. Every evening when I come home, I spend some time putting things back where they belong and uncovering another corner or space in the bedrooms. My part of the job may take longer than the workers did. They actually did very well as they took 2 weeks and 2 days to do a lot of work. Besides the hardwood floors and the painting , there is also the kitchen and bathroom.
Have I mentioned that I am very pleased? I didn’t think I had said so … I am very pleased. I loved sitting in the chair (in the first photo above) in the clean, remodeled living room watching American Idol (with my feet up) last night.
Speaking of American Idol, I am hooked on that show! And I am a big fan of Adam Lambert. The boy is in a league of his own! There is Adam, and then there are the rest of them lined up below. He is certainly the one that makes the show interesting this season.
I am looking forward to this evening… Olivia is coming home for the weekend! We always have a lot of fun and enjoy our visits (which are few and far between). I always enjoy having the boys around, but Liv and I do different kinds of things. of course. This weekend I will have them all at home. It has been awhile. I am looking forward to having all my children together for a few days!

Hey Sis,
Well, you know my response to all of the above, but I love your new floors! I know how wonderful it feels to sit down in a clean, re-modeled house – - well, almost clean – LOL. I have enlisted help in finishing the decor. Larry’s sister, Janice, is helping me. I am so glad. Like she said when I thanked her, “I am just thrilled to be here and be able to help. This time last year, I thought I wouldn’t be.” Larry and I both worry so about her, but taking it day by day thus far, she does great. She still takes chemo in pill form so she has no hair and has low energy levels a lot, but in this entire time she has never complained or been ‘down’ at least not where anyone else can see. She loved the few things I have bought for the house and she is going shopping for me, and brought a friend of hers over to measure and take stock of my living room and bedroom windows to make curtains for me. larry and I are going to Kemper’s and Hazard Furniture this a.m. to look.
And as for AI and Adam Lambert, spectacular! As I said to you in the e-mail, by the way, did you get it??, I can’t wait each week to see what he is going to do. I am already getting a little sad because it is only going to last six more weeks – lol! You will definitely have to get me the cd of him and of Danny Gokey. Love his gravelly voice, although he is not the ‘performer’ that Adam is. Ok, Love you.
