Two of my favorite shows were on last night: Fringe and Adam Lambert. uh. I mean American Idol. Though actually, he IS the show this season. One of the many reasons I like Adam so well is that in spite of all the hoopla, the drama, the competition, the pictures, the questions, the press, the judges, he is always classy and professional. He is ever the gentleman. Always being polite and genuine, always listening to the advice of the judges, never acting like he knows it all already. He doesn’t whine, or talk back, or act arrogantly. Twice he has drawn attention to someone else, to someone who helped him, and gave them the praise. Once it was the band leader and the band, and last night to the collaborator for the arrangement. The young man is talented and really puts on a good show. What’s not to like??
If you haven’t watched Fringe, you’ve been missing a good one. It is called “a new series that will thrill, terrify and explore the blurring line between the possible and the impossible.” That is where the word ‘fringe’ comes from – it is science on the fringe of the mainstream. on the fringe of possibility or reality. It is always interesting and you never know what will happen next. It’s main characters are an FBI task force investigating strange and unusual occurrences, along with a “mad scientist type” (John Noble) who has been isolated in a mental hospital for the past 17 years, and his genus son (Joshua Jackson). Very cool and interesting.
Last night, I went home very tired and a little stressed. I was home alone, so I made a pot of Starbucks coffee and sat with my feet up for awhile. It was quiet and soothing, and I enjoyed it very much. I watched the two shows as I’ve already discussed, and read for a little while. Along the way, Larry and Chase came home and went to their respective rooms. I talked to Zac, Olivia, and Bev on the phone, and read some more. That was the evening!

Ditto to everything you said a bout Adam. I am amazed at him every week. Who would have ever thought that me, our family’s ‘white’ sheep, would love Adam Lambert? I think I told you he is the first person I have ever heard to actually scream in tune and on key – LOL. He can sing softly, scream head-bangingly, screech eerily, or whatever else he comes up with, all fabulously in tune.
I have to say that I am also impressed with Kris’ insight and talent. He is in a totally different style, but he has grown on me over the weeks and I love his smile! I wish so much the top three would be Adam, Danny and Kris. I was satisfied with who left last night. I feel for Lil but they are so right – - she just copies other people; and although I like Anoop, he is just not one of my favs.
As for Fringe, love it! I am way behind though. I have five episodes taped, but can’t seem to get time to watch. I also tape others and our soaps so if I am able to do anything besides lie on the couch, I don’t get time to watch them quickly. Tell Zac to go to each blog and read the comments too. As I am a wordy commenter, he can find more reading material in here. Love you so much, Sis!!
I love Kris too! Adam is the most talented but something about Kris makes me root for the underdog. Fringe is so cool, it has become my fix since the X-files left me lol. I have missed talking to you girls. I will try to post sometime soon. I love you and I miss reaching out with you guys.
Ah! I have missed you so much….
I don’t email as I should – but I so love finding comments from you on here, and posts.
Love you always.
