MY SISTER reminded me that I have not blogged since last Tuesday. I should have blogged and did think about it. I have just been so very busy this week. A few months ago we were only working 4 days a week, and were unsure of our jobs. Now we are so busy that none of us can get caught up with our respective jobs. I have been working non-stop and coming home very tired! When I get home, I am so tired that I don’t do much of anything but relax. For me, that means putting on my pajamas and settling into my chair with my feet up (and a blanket if needed) with a book and the remote. LW doesn’t always appreciate my need for relaxation, as my housework really suffers! Sorry, honey!! Every day, I am intending to come home full of energy and really spend some hours accomplishing something around the house. Every day I am so ready to get home and get my feet up and disengage my brain! Soooo… no work gets done and no blogs get written.
Last Saturday, Larry and I worked outside most of the day. We planted our garden … it is about 64 square feet … very small. Larry “tilled” the ground with a pitch fork and a mattock. We went to our neighbor’s farm and bought some plants. Then we planted 6 tomato plants, 6 green pepper plants, and 6 hills of cucumbers. We will have to put a little fence for the cucumbers to climb on or else they will try to run out in the yard! After planting and watering our “garden”, we trimmed the trees in the back yard. We saved the ones in the front for another day. After we cleaned up, we went to another neighbor’s for a cook-out and birthday party for 14 year old twins. It was a beautiful day, and we spent most of it outside.
On Sunday afternoon, after cooking our lunch, I went to a Bridal Tea, while everyone else took naps! Sunday night was Senior Night (for our high school seniors) at church. A couple of ladies fix bulletin boards for the kids. Each one has “senior” decorations and pictures (usually their senior picture and others). This time both seniors were high school football players, so there was an additional board with newspaper clippings from their football games. We have a pot luck supper and then they open their gifts. Most of the gifts are cards with gifts of money, which adds up to several hundred dollars and comes in very handy for them.

On Tuesday I watched American Idol again. I am sure I don’t have to tell you that! You have figured out by now, that I am a big fan! It was Rat Pack music night. I did not expect to enjoy the show like I did. I may not have said before, but my music of choice is rock. And usually hard rock. So most nights, I don’t actually like the songs. I watch enough of the performances to see how everyone is doing, usually while reading. Needless to say, I stop reading and listen and watch closely when Adam Lambert takes the stage. Like I said, I didn’t expect to enjoy those songs so much, but I did! And I thought they all did a very good job. Wednesday night, I was so nervous with Adam in the bottom. I couldn’t believe it! Even though I kept remembering season five with Daughtry. He was so good, then he went home # 4. Then Taylor Hicks won… I just couldn’t believe that one! Even though I was sorry for Matt, I was very happy Adam did not go home!!

LW tells me I must end this…he says I am writing a blog and not a book! The trouble is, I am in the car (he is driving) on our way to Bev’s house, and have nothing else to do right now. So I am “journaling” on the laptop as we travel! He and I are going tonight and will come home tomorrow evening. I told Bev she could get her “honey-do” list ready since he was coming with me. I called Larry H and he is coming too, so the brothers-in-law are going to have a work day for her. We don’t know yet if Rick can come or not. He may have to work. Bev has been needing some odd jobs done around the place. Gail and I planned our lunch, with us bringing in some things. We’ll have a cookout.
Okay. I am stopping now. I’ll blog again tomorrow evening on the way home!!

Aw, look at the senior boys! I think it’s so sweet that Montrose does that. I really hope your cucumbers & tomatoes grow – I love fresh cucmubers & tomatoes from a garden.
I get to see you this weekend – yay! Can’t wait to see you. Love much.
Sis, I hope you had a safe and uneventful trip home Saturday. I enjoyed the few hours we were able to spend together. I also needed that little baylee lying with me on the couch, giving me sugars, and crawling all over me. She is just too precious. It was good for all of us sisters to be together, and all of our husbands. I am glad Rick and Renda made it. I had to go to Lexington yesterday to my doctor, and am going back today for TWO MRI guided steroid treatments. I will be down for a while. I will try to be able to get on the laptop soon though. I love you very much!!
