Tonight was ROCK Nite on American Idol. When I heard the theme, I thought it should be an awesome night – even had Slash as the mentor! I expected my favorite, ADAM Lambert, to really give an awesome performance. And I really thought all 4 would do well. I could not imagine what Adam would do next (given his past performances). I was a little nervous for him after last week’s vote… not for his ability, but just a little worried because of the vote last week. okay, that is what all I was thinking before the show began. But when Adam performed, I was so impressed! He is awesome! He does put on a good show. And he has such a range! He was so much better than everyone else tonight. The show began and ended with Adam Lambert. Great!!
okay. I will stop talking about the show. You knew I had to, didn’t you? You would have been surprised if I had not!
When I blogged last, I talked about going to BEV’s and planning a little work day. It rained on us nearly the whole day, but we got a lot accomplished in spite of the rain. The brothers-in-law worked on Bev’s porch – it was falling down on one side – they jacked it up and put concrete blocks under it.

LW and CHANDLER trimmed some trees and shrubs. Chandler was the cutest thing… just working and clipping away… like he was much bigger and older than his nearly 6 years. He didn’t want them to stop working! LW said he talked to him non-stop and asked about a thousand questions. I think they both enjoyed each other very much. Gail and Renda and I worked on mom’s house. Mom had left at the end of December and has been with Renda and Gail since then. No one had the time to really work at it before, so there was a lot to do. When she left, no one knew she would not be able to come back to her house for so long. So we cleared out a lot of things, cleaned up, emptied the refrigerator and freezer, then turned off the electricity. She has been paying some bills even though she wasn’t living there, and this was the last thing we needed to do before cutting the electric. They took some more of her things to her, including her t.v. to put in her room at Renda’s.

my helpers got a little distracted !!
It was a little sad – taking away most of her clothes and really closing up the house. But… I just looked at it like helping her move. or just coming there to do some work for her. But Mom is doing REALLY good. She still isn’t able to live by herself… and we don’t know if she will again. She WANTS to but she is not able to cook or prepare her food so far. Even though she can’t live alone and take care of herself, she is doing very well, and is ‘herself’.
BAYLEE is just the cutest thing! and so sweet! She is trying to crawl – she doesn’t give it too much effort tho, she just pulls herself around! Bev says she is too lazy to crawl. I didn’t get to see Lindsey and Sam again. Recently when I have been there, they have been at their dad’s. So I am going to have to time my weekends better! It was good to see Chandler, Courtney and Eric too!
My kids will all be here on Sunday for Mother’s Day… I am looking forward to having them. I love having them all come to visit at the same time. Olivia says she is going to cook. I will definitely enjoy that.
